Admissions and Enrollment
Trinity Temple Academy welcomes students of all backgrounds. All new students must submit the following:
1. Application for Admission.
2. Birth Certificate or Passport
3. Official School Records, Cumulative File and Test Scores, Behavior reports (if applicable). (Records request form must be completed and returned to the office)
4. Immunization Records (Stamped and Signed By the Doctor’s Office)
5. Physical Exam Form (Stamped and Signed By the Doctor’s Office)
6. Allergy and/or Asthma Action Plan. (Stamped and Signed By the Doctor’s Office)
Returning Students
Returning students must submit:
- Completed Application for Admission
- Updated Physical Examination Form
- Updated Immunization Record
- Updated Allergy and/or Asthma Action Plan (if applicable)
Student Readiness
Admission is based upon the student’s physical, emotional, social, and academic readiness.
The administration reserves the right to evaluate each student’s placement and determine the most appropriate grade level. (Based on Columbia Union Code 5200 Requirements for Admission (see Code 4500))
Age Requirement
Students entering Kindergarten must be five (5) years old on or before October 1 of the current school year according to the New Jersey Department of Education guidelines.
A probationary enrollment period may be required for new students.
Right to Refuse Admission
Trinity Temple Academy reserves the right to deny admission or re-enrollment to any student when it determines that enrollment is not in the best interest of the school community. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:
- A history of serious misconduct or repeated disciplinary concerns.
- Consistently unsatisfactory academic performance without demonstrated effort or progress.
- Outstanding tuition or other unpaid financial obligations to the school.
- Repeated failure of parents or guardians to cooperate with school policies, procedures, or administrative decisions.
- Inappropriate, disrespectful, intimidating, threatening, or abusive conduct by parents or guardians toward school personnel, volunteers, students, or other families.
- Creating a hostile, disruptive, or unsafe environment for students, faculty, staff, or the school community.
- Threatening legal or outside action as a means of intimidation rather than following the school’s established communication and grievance procedures.
- Using social media, public platforms, or other forms of communication to harass, defame, intimidate, or undermine the reputation of the school, its employees, students, or families.
- Any conduct by a student or parent/guardian that, in the judgment of the administration and School Board, is inconsistent with the mission, values, standards, or best interests of Trinity Temple Academy.
Admission and re-enrollment are privileges, not rights. All admission and re-enrollment decisions are made at the discretion of the school administration and School Board. Trinity Temple Academy reserves the right to refuse or discontinue enrollment whenever it determines that doing so is necessary to preserve the safety, mission, educational environment, or spiritual atmosphere of the school.
Parent & Student Agreement
By signing the enrollment documents, both the parent/guardian and the student acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with all policies contained in this handbook.
Enrollment constitutes an agreement to support the philosophy, mission, standards, and policies of Trinity Temple Academy.
Academic Placement
Student placement is determined using multiple factors, including:
- Chronological age
- Emotional development
- Social maturity
- Physical readiness
- Academic achievement
- Teacher recommendations
- Standardized testing
- Placement assessments
- Classroom performance
Students transferring from homeschool programs, non-accredited schools, or distance-learning programs may be required to complete additional placement testing before final grade placement is determined. (Based on the Columbia Union Code 5205 Academic Placement Policy in Elementary Schools)
