Trinity Temple Academy Mission Statement
Provide a Christ-centered education that nurtures students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically while preparing them for service to God and others.
Our Vision
Develop disciples of Christ who pursue excellence in learning, leadership, and service.
Our Philosophy
The Seventh-day Adventist Church recognizes God as the source of all knowledge and wisdom. Christian education seeks to restore in each student the image of the Creator.
Trinity Temple Academy provides a challenging and supportive learning environment for students in K through Grade 8. The school emphasizes critical thinking, leadership development, self-esteem, and respect for diversity. Trinity Temple Academy strives to be a community of thoughtful learners in which educators and students work together to make connections, ask meaningful questions, and develop essential academic and life skills.
Recognizing its mission to prepare young people for responsible leadership and citizenship, the school respects the individual talents, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds of all members of the school community.
Trinity Temple Academy promotes effective approaches to learning that include cooperation, respectful dialogue and critique, meaningful academic rigor, hands-on experiences, reflection, and self-assessment. While the education of students is the school’s primary mission, the academy is also committed to supporting the professional growth and intellectual development of educators and support staff. In addition, members of the school community are encouraged to participate in appropriate opportunities for decision-making and collaborative problem-solving.
Students are provided daily opportunities to read, write, analyze, and communicate effectively. They are encouraged to think both critically and creatively, utilize appropriate technologies, solve complex problems, and explore challenging questions across academic disciplines. Students are also encouraged to develop curiosity, appreciation for both the aesthetic and practical aspects of life, and the ability to interact respectfully with others. With teachers and staff serving as mentors and guides, students are encouraged to recognize the ethical dimensions of the decisions and choices they face.
Trinity Temple Academy is committed to maintaining a safe, supportive, and well-structured learning environment that includes a challenging curriculum, appropriate instructional materials, flexible scheduling, and a code of conduct that promotes respect for self and others. Both the curriculum and extracurricular activities are designed to support students from diverse backgrounds, academic abilities, and vocational interests.
The school values diversity and seeks to honor differences in race, culture, background, gender, ethnicity, age, and physical ability. Every student should have the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that both challenges and nurtures them as individuals of worth and potential.
When students graduate from Trinity Temple Academy, they should possess the knowledge, skills, character, and attitudes necessary to lead productive, thoughtful lives as contributing members of both their local and global communities.
In summary, the faculty and staff of Trinity Temple Academy are committed to developing the spiritual, intellectual, and personal potential of every student, striving to help each learner live a creative, compassionate, and purposeful life.
